Inception

It is hardly possible for me to write about a movie like Inception coherently. I saw it a few weeks ago, and I’m still totally pwned. I love those kind of movies when you can talk and guess about even after days. I had been keeping an eye on Christopher Nolan every since I saw Memento in the movies, and so far he hasn’t made me disappointed. I found only maybe Insomnia a bit weaker but maybe it’s just me. I remember I had the same feeling as I had now after Inception when I watched the Prestige: I was full of these question about realitiy and dream/lies, and I loved it. Inception is even better. I guess I have a thing for movies that play with the borderline of reality and fantasy, blending them, making you confused, i.e. the Spanish film Open your eyes, or its Hollywood version Vanilla sky (yeah, shame on me I really liked the latter too), or for that matter the play written by Pedro Calderón, called Life is a dream.
Ever woke up so you didn’t know if you were awake or still sleeping? I cannot say anything more frightening than that.
And what about the phenomenon when you realize you are in a dream and you can change the events the way you want them? It’s almost like the feeling of pure freedom.
I won't go into philosphy because I’m not the best in it, but it sure as hell would be easy to draw some kind of questions about what is worth more, can we say Cobb was insane to choose dream instead of real life in the end (if he did so – of course, it is the other beauty in the film, everyone can decide on their own ending).

The visual, the cast was flawless, the whole plot was amazing, and I could have been watching it for other 3 hours.
So I take my hat off again, Mr Nolan.

And I re-discovered Cillian Murphy Oh, yeah. I’d seen him in a few films before, um, on second thought in 2-3 films only, but now something just snapped, and now I’m totally into his filmography. So be prepared for a shitload of Cillian Murphy arts
